Kirkby British Blue champ sells for £2300

Harrison and Hetherington held their annual special prize show and sale of store cattle at Kirkby Stephen Mart on Monday where an entry of 1315 head was forward. Trade for quality stores was exceptionally strong resulting in an overall average of £638.76 up £75.63 on the year.

Judged by Andrew Geary, the champion went to D and C E Marston, Easegill Head, whose British Blue cross heifer later sold for £2300 to I Pickup.
