Firm trade at Lanark

A small entry of cattle met a firm trade at Lanark market with 38 store cattle being sold. Of the 15 bullocks put forward prices ranged from 145.8p to 171.3p/kg for a pen of 324kg Simmental crosses from A Muirhead, Netherfauld House. A 646kg Limousin cross from T & E Lorimer, Birkwood Mains topped at £948.

 

Heifers, 23 of which were put forward averaged 145.3p to 163.6p/kg for a pen of 428kg Limousin cross from W Russell and Son, Bankhead. A 604kg Limousin cross topped the heifer trade at £938 from T & E Lorimer, Birkwood
