New Board for Royal Highland Winter Fair

The partnership document for the new company which will run the 2008 Royal Highland Winter Fair was signed by key members of the Scottish National Stock Club and the Royal Highland Agricultural Society this week.

The new board consists of John Dykes, James Cullens and David Dunsmuir from RHASS and Jim Meikle and Gavin Scott from SNFSC and will be led by chairman Bruce Lang.

The partners have been allocated different responsibilities according to their area of expertise, working to keep the successful shop window for prime cattle and sheep.

This partnership secures the future of the show, comments SNFSC's Bruce Lang.  "We look forward to working with the RHASS and the main sponsor Osmonds, to develop the major winter event that Scotland deserves."

The Royal Highland Winter Fair is very much a food orientated event, adds RHASS's John Dykes. "We hope to develop an event bringing the consumer closer to the farmer, so they can appreciate home produced quality beef and lamb."
