Royal Norfolk pig success

Leading British Lop breeder Brian Upchurch took top honours at the Royal Norfolk Show yesterday with his successful show sow Greenway Harmony.

Having won the White Breeds section, Harmony went head to head with another show great, the Saddleback sow Victoria Lottie 168 who won the coloured breeds section. The two sows are no stranger to battle as the Saddleback has beaten its rival twice and vice versa.

Commenting on both exhibits judge and noted breeder John Millard from Cambridgeshire said: "Both sows were of a high quality and looked well on the day. Both had great underlines and moved exceptionally well, the only thing that tipped it for me was the British Lop was slightly longer."
