Sensational store trade at Sedgemoor

Store cattle and stirks at Sedgemoor saw the average price break the £600 barrier at £623 a head for the 596 stores and stirks offered, with the top price being £1040 for a Charolais steer from Mr A P Parris of Taunton.

Stirks topped at £665 for a British Blue steer with Limousins to £630. Calves also rocketed as British Blue heifers averaged £190 and topped at £285 for a 10-day old heifer (Greenslade Taylor Hunt).
