Craven dairy Auction Championships see's new names being added to BOCM Pauls Dairy Cup, as George and Gladys Emmott take home the title.
A newly calved pedigree Holstein Friesian heifer secured the title for the Emmotts, Currer Wood Farm at Skipton Auction Mart.
Giving six gallons, the Victor, who is by Avenham Westminster, sold for £2150 to the shows judge,
Prices peaked at £2300 for a good run of commercial newly calven heifers, with top prices of the day going to second prize winner, Malcolm Swire, Harrogate. She joins Wick Williams, courtesy of Mr Matthias.

Shorthorn heifers in the maiden heifer section also won both first and second prizes, selling at £920 and £880 by Mathew Robinson, Otley.
Pedigree newly calven heifers averaged £1798, with their commercial counterparts averaging £1548. Newly calven cows averaged £1481, with black and white in-calf cows selling to £1100, in-calf heifers to £960 and maiden heifers to £580.
