Just had the trusty Taking Stock photographer on the phone to tell me trade has gone through the roof at the Charollais sheep sale in Welshpool as the champion has just sold for 10,500gns.
Having selected it as his champion, John Geldard later backed his judgement and dug deep to secure the ram.
