A top price of 6000gns was paid for a ram when the Lleyn Sheep Society staged a split venue sale at Lockerbie and Carlisle due to Blue Tongue restrictions offering 4467 females and 124 rams.

The shearling ram was sold at Lockerbie from the consignment of Brian Walling's Farmstock Genetics flock at Selkirk and was bought by Neil McGowan, Blairgowrie, Perthshire.

Norman Lawrence, one of the breed's strongest supporters in northern Scotland, paid 4000gns at Lockerbie for a ram from the Ayrshire-based flock of vet David Alexander.

Dumfriesshire breeder Derek Steen accounted for a string of top prices in the Lockerbie shearling entry with E Jones, Machynlleth, giving £125 and £100 (twice) while J Sturrock, Castle Douglas, took shearlings from this flock at £95 and £90.
