Brian Morris' decision to send the milking and heifer calf portion of his Nunwell herd to Sedgemoor Auction Centre was well rewarded with a top price of 2520gns for the calved heifer Nunwell Peridot Twinkle that calved at the beginning of September, by Delta Peridot she was out of two generations of 11,000kg dams and her heifer calf that was by Aquilla Patron Lucente.

Purchasers from Cornwall to Shropshire chased after the younger cows several of which sold to 1900gns to include two fresh second lactation Picston Shaker daughters being Nunwell Picston Breeze and Nunwell Picston Zara.

The 27 heifer calves for sale on the day were either by Kelstein Dynasty or Aquilla Patron Lucente and it was a Dynasty daughter born in August out of a three times 10,000kg dam that reached the days highest calf price at 580gns.

The 11 two year old heifers that were due to calve in October to the Blonde bull were in strong demand selling to 1520gns twice for two daughters of Peridot from the Nina and Breeze families.
