Agri-Expo kicks in to gear

Morning all!

Having just recovered from the Farmers Weekly Awards at the beginning of the week, I'm back in action this morning in Carlisle covering Harrison and Hetherington's major livestock event Agri-Expo.

Judging is due to kick off at 9.30 starting with the national suckled calf and primestock classes judged by John Peckitt. There will be some pretty hot competition in these classes with winning animals up from Countryside Live. Farmers Weekly are sponsoring the heifer and steer championship, so I'm looking forward to presenting our rather posh sashes to the winners.

10 am will see the start of the national prime sheep classes judged by Paul Barker of Woodhead Bros.

Later on in the morning the Aberdeen-Angus suckled calf classes will kick off with Vicotr Wallace in action judging and then the British Blue classes wil be headed with Brian Wheatley in charge of class judging.

I'll try and keep you updated as possible with class results and section championships as they happen.
