Trade at the dispersal sale of the pedigree fully organic Englefield herd for Englefield Home Farms at Reading, Berkshire, was very level indeed.

Top price of 1750gns was paid by D E Legge of Bromyard, Herefordshire, for Englefield Gordon Beauty which had calved her second calf four weeks earlier and giving 43.7kg daily.  The Delta Juror Gordon daughter had previously given 9006kg as a heifer.

The same buyer paid 1700gns for Westlove Bombay Citron, a daughter of BUY Mandel Bombay.  She was only 4 days into her 3rd lactation.  In her 2nd lactation she recorded 10,714kgs.

Youngstock sold to 1050gns twice, both being purchased by J H Vigar & Son of Trowbridge, Wiltshire.  The consecutive lots were Englefield Jordan Hilda was a Roylane Jordan daughter out of a 9,562kg Etazon Jimtown, and Englefield Jackson Judy sired by Weeton Jackson.
