South West Dairy Show Results

This year's South West Dairy Show attracted a high number of entries from across the country, with particularly large numbers in the Holstein class.

However, it was an almost six year old Ayrshire cow, Sandyford Clover 10 who took the supreme champion title for Eric and Blaise Tomlinson, Nantpanton, Loughborough. This is the first time in 12 years the Ayrshire breed has taken the title.

Reserve champion went to Holstein Moorshard Jordan Primrose, a January 2005 in-milk cow from R K and S G Miller family partnership, based at Bridgwater, Somerset

Holsteins also dominated the heifer interbreed championships, with January 2006 born Richaven R Squaq, taking the title for R A Bown.
