Suckled calves sell to £2400 at Middleton in Teesdale

Suckled calves hit a top price of £2400 at Harrison and Hetherington's annual show and sale of 1058 suckled calves at Middleton in Teesdale and overall calves met a great trade to average £551.87 (+£84.70 on the year).

 

The show, judged by Mike Dickens, Little Horwood, was kindly sponsored by Novartis Animal Health, Agri Lloyd, H & H Borderway Insurance Brokers & Jim Peet (Agriculture)

 

Taking the overall championship and the top price of £2400 was a British Blue cross heifer from J C and J White which later sold to D Nutt.
