Well having made the trip home from Wales I'm afraid today's updates will be brought to you from the comfort of the FW office. However, I have some colleagues on the ground who will be able to let me have results as they happen, so there should be no compromise in service today.

As promised last night here are a few more outstanding results from yesterday's judging, starting with the sheep.

Richard Powell dominated proceedings in the Kerry Hill class, taking all three top spots with pairs weighing 94, 88 and 90kg respectively.

In the Hill Radnor section it was a win for I T Davies and Son with their 81.5kg pair, while secondd spot went to Kate Hovers with a duo at 87.5kg. Third place here was J and M E Price with an 86.5kg pair.

And Mr Davies was in fine form in the Becknock Hill Cheviot class too, taking first here with a brace weighing in at 94kg. Next up was D H Morgan with a pair at 89kg and third was Will and Sam Workman with an 83.5kg pair.

Linda Western continues her rich vein of form to clinch the North Country Cheviot class with a 95.5kg pair, while Ronald Jones took second and third spots with 90 and 100kg pairings.

In the section for other Hill or Upland lambs the red ticket went to Ronald Jones with an 89.5kg pair, as did second spot, while Eifion Hughes clinched thrid with a pair at 78kg.

The class for crossbred lambs not qulaified for any other class was taken by Linda Western with a 92kg duo and Lindsay Price and Katherine Parry stood second here with Kate Hovers third with a pair at 89.5kg.

Not that i want to start all the tongues wagging again, but i was wondering what the presence of the new Commercial Showcattle Society has been like in Wales? I didn't see much of it at Birmingham or in Scotland....any ideas?

I wouldn't mind knowing the baby beef results when you get them, I bet there are some crackers down there?

Conspicous by its absence I'd say. Admittedly many of the "top brass" were there, but there didn't seem to be any formal presence by way of a stand etc..

And, tellingly there hasn't been much sign of them across the winter circuit at all, I'll reserve judgement, but it does seem to have gone a bit quiet on this front at the moment.

Looked to be some fair beasts in the sheds yesterday, but I didn't get chance to study them too carefully. They're not judged until after the overall championship according to the timetable, so you'll have to wait a few hours yet. We'll get them up as soon as we can.

I was thinking the same thing myself about the Commercial Show Cattle Society, especially with the "very successful" meetings they had in wales.

Would it be possible for you to show results for the Black Welsh Mountain Sheep class, as you do not state this result above. Would it also be possible for you to state the results for the Mountain Breeds Champion and Reserve.
