More sheep results from Royal Welsh Winter Fair

Sheep judging is also setting a fair pace here at Builth Wells and results are coming through thick and fast.

Leading the way so far with a brace of red tickets is Linda Western who has clinched first place in both the Tregaron Welsh Mountain class and one of the Butchers Lambs classes with a pair of Beltex.

Linda's Tregaron pair weighed in at 84.5kg and beat a pair from Eifion Hughes into second place, with a duo from T E and M I Price standing third.

Meanwhile, her Beltex sired pair tipped the scales at 86.5kg and were placed first ahead of noted primestock producer Andrew Bishop. Third place in this class went to I T Davies and Son.

In the Welsh Speckled Face class first place was awarded to D R Lewis, second went to A G Roberts and third was Ellis Lloyd and Co. The Welsh Mountain (Hill) class went to Ellis Lloyd and Co, with second to T E and M I Price and third going to Neil Dillon.

The Welsh Moutain (Registered) entries were topped by H L and O E Roberts, with Brian Roberts taking second and T E and M I Price taking third spot.

In the second of the Butchers classes Michael Owen took first place with Steve Gibbons taking second and John Hall third.
