Largest entry of the year at Western Holstein club sale

Western Holstein club Show and Sale, Beeston saw the largest entry of the year with 152 cows and milking heifers and five bulls forward attracting a good crowd.

 

Topping at 2800gns was the red and white heifer Littonfields Roxy Jazz Red. Consigned by Andrew and Bridget Weston, Buxton, she heads back to Nantwich with Paul and Ruth Robinson.

 

Two animals made 2750gns; the first was champion cow Hawksmoor Thelma 31st, consigned by Rob Clare, Market Drayton selling to Robbie Bell, Knutsford. Mr Bell also took home Moordown Mr Sam Peach for 2550gns. The second was Knowlesmere Boss Helene ET, consigned by Andrew and Jane Whitaker, Shrewsbury, selling to Hywel Evans, Oswestry.

 

21 cows £1692.50;108 heifers £1976.92; 2 bulls £1785
