Bentham calves hit record of £490

Bentham's first 'Spring Lims' Show and Sale for Limousin sired rearing calves saw the Champion set a new auction record.

 

Champion was awarded to a 34 day old bull from Mason Gardner, Greenside, Tatham out of a Limousin x cow and sired by Yelland Riley who is a son of the great Greenson's Gigolo.

 

The calf made a show stopping £490 to Peter Fawcett of Mearbeck, Long Preston. judge, Mr Chris Broadley, Ripon, bought the second and third placed bulls, both from M W Hodgson, Cartmell Fell, realising £370 & £300 respectively. British Blue bulls topped at £370 and Black and White bulls £148.
