£1890 top call at Cirencester dairy dispersal

A packed ring of buyers was at Cirencester on 28 April for the dispersal Sale of D C & E Collingborn's milking portion of Holstein Cows removed from their home at Chippenham for sale convenience.

The 57 forward saw over half the cows achieve bids in excess of £1000. Top call came for a fresh calved Genus Jayson daughter beginning her third lactation and achieving £1890. Another third calver by Delta Webster March calved and giving 28kg raced to £1837 and a March second calver by Roylane Jordan made £1785.  The top 10 cows averaged £1661 with cows selling to many areas outside of Gloucestershire.

Averages 48 Cows and heifers in milk and/or in calf £1120, 8 aged and unwarranted cows in milk £509
