Dingwall breeding heifers hit £1700

Breeding heifers met a flying trade at Dingwall yesterday when trade topped at £1700 for British Blue cross entry from Michael Durno, Auchoran, Glenlivet. This one weighed in at 505kg, selling for a highly respectable 336.6p/kg.

Overall the 392 store and breeding heifers forward averaged £190.2p/kg, while the 307 bullocks sold to a top of £1070 thrice and 250p/kg to level the day at 194.9p/kg.

Young bulls, meanwhile, topped at 231.9p/kg and £930 gross to average 181.8p/kg and the sole breeding bull forward, a Simmental, made £2000.
