Knighton sees new season demand

New season lambs were in demand at Knighton Market this week, which saw price topping at 186p/kg and averaging 178.25p/kg.

 

Heavier old season lambs also saw good prices, topping at 144p/kg with an average of 138.25p/kg.

 

Cull ewes continued the upward trend, with 110 forward ewes topped at £69.50 an averaged £54.78. With only a handful of rams and wether lambs forward, prices topped at £56 and £46 respectively.
