After the drive up from Lincoln yesterday I've managed to catch up on the Royal Highland sheep results from yesterday, so here's what I know so far.

Taking the Blackface championship were D C and J J Marshall with a two shear tup, while reserve was were W Ramsay and Sons with an old ewe.

In the North Country Cheviots the champion was a shearling ewe from Messrs Runciman and reserve was a two shear tup from the same home.

The North Country Cheviot Hill section was lead by C and M Symons with a ewe and reserve were Willie and Jimmy Thomson with an old tup. This means the Thomsons can't do a treble in the interbreed.

Border Leicester champion was James Brown and Others with their shearling ewe and reserve was the same owner with a shearling tup.

Topping the Suffolks were Messrs Mair with an old ewe, while reserve were Iain and Judith Barbour with a ewe from the sale class.

Leading the Cheviot section were T G O Douglas and Co with a ewe and reserve spot was taken by J E Irving with a shearling tup.

In the Jacobs the overall champion was G Connor and S Dalrymple with a shearling ewe and reserve was Clive Richardson with an old tup.

Ryeland champion was Andrew Hunter Blair with a shearling ewe and reserve came from the same flock, this time an old tup.

Breed champion for the Berrichons was Robert and Jean Graham's ram lamb and they also took reserve with a shearling ewe.

Lleyn champion was Derek Steen's old tup and reserve was the McGowan family with a shearling ram.

Lifting the commercial sheep title was Andrew Baillie with a Continental cross ewe with lambs at foot, while reserve was A G Dempster with a white faced ewe lamb.

More results and pictures to follow throughout the day........
