Royal Sheep title goes to Texel leader

Taking the sheep interbreed award this morning was the Texel champion, a ewe from John Forsyth's Glenside flock.

TS Royal Texel  Champ.jpgThis ewe is by 88,000gns sire Claybury Istabraq and out of a ewe by Glenside His Nibs. One of 120 ewes run by Mr Forsyth at home in Ayrshire, this ewe was also breed champion at last month's Royal Highland Show.

Taking reserve spot was the Rouge champion, Percy Tait's shearling ewe from his flock based at Worcester.
