Royal Welsh British Blue title to Boomer DKNY

Staffordshire-based Boomer Birch, one of the leading young lights of the British Blue world made his mark in the breed again here at Builth Wells this morning, taking the breed championship with his heifer Boomer DKNY.

TS RW Belgian Blue.jpgThis January 2008-born heifer is by Operateur De Fontena and out of Boomer Armani. Reserve here was Danny Wyllie with his stock bull and another of this season's show greats Ballygrange Alex.

Like the Limousin champion this one would have a fair crack at the overall title later today. Commercial producer and Lim and Blue fan Bryan Jones of Brecon is the man in the middle, so it should be a good champion no matter what takes it...
