Viper takes Yorkshire Limousin title

| 3 Comments | No TrackBacks

One of the most hardfought sections here at Harrogate was always going to be the Limousins with last week's Royal Show champion, Millington Davina, coming up against strong competition. And so it proved, with the heifer being beaten to the breed title by Greenhill Viper from David Cormack and Gaina McDowell. This well known Nenuphar son has picked up a string of titles in the last few years, including a hat trick of interbreeds at Newark.

Davina, though did win the females and stood reserve breed champion overall.

I think you could follow most things he did - one or two i wasn't too sure about - male junior not my favourite, but think he was about there. Although think he should listen a bit more when people say ages...............

Overall yes, I'm still not sure the Millington heifer was good enough to beat the Wilodge entry, particular when giving away three months. That said she did look better this week than last although her top line is a still less than perfect.
