Bakewell calves reach £418

Reared calves hit a high of £418 at Bakewell this week with a Limousin bull calf from Springfield Farm, Ambergate, leading the sale. Close behind was another 2.5 month old Limousin at £400.

In the rearing calf the top call was a £322 bid for a five week old British Blue sired bull calf from B D Hudson, Ipstones. Other Blues were £300 and £298 from J Shardlow, Shirland. (Bagshaws).
