Carlisle beef breeding cattle in demand

Breeding cattle were in demand again at Carlisle on Friday with the entry of heifers with calves at foot peaking at £2200 for a Limousin cross from Messrs Dickinson, High Knipe. Others from the same vendor sold at £1950, £1900 and £1880.

Meanwhile, Mark Towers run of heifers and calves averaged a respectable £1500. Cows and calves peaked at £2000 for a Limosin from Messrs Dodd, West View.
