Angus national show calf champion sells at £6000

The calf champion from September's national show of Aberdeen-Angus, Rull Francis J092 has been sold privately for £6000.

This daughter of Muirhall Top Deal from Edward and Claire Jones, Cullompton, Devon, has sold to Andrew Hodge, Duns, for his Rulesmains herd.

Francis is out of Rull Francis F065, a daughter of Netherton Frances C236 which is in turn a Netherton Royal Sovereign daughter.

Mr Hodge said he'd admired the calf's correctness and tremendous style. "She has a character you can't help be taken with and her pedigree will no doubt compliment the existing bloodlines at Rulesmains."
