Friday's sale of Belted Galloways at Carlisle hit a peak of 1600gns with this price achieved twice for older females.

First to sell at this money was Borderway Julie, a Mochrum Billy Bob sired June 2007-born heifer out of a dam by Grandycroft James. This one was consigned by the auctioneers Harrison and Hetherington from their small herd run on ground alongside the market. She sold to E M and J R Irving, Wigton. The other to make this money was another from H and H Borderway Janet. She's also by Billy Bob and out of a dam by Grandycroft James and sold to the same buyer.

And at 1550gns was yet another from H and H, Borderway Joanne. This Billy Bob daughter, born in March 2007 is out of Borderway Heather, a Burnside David daughter and was bought by J Blacklock, Wark.

It look's like the H and H Christmas bonuses have been secured for another year!!
