Castle Douglas Salers records smashed

A new centre record price of 8000gns was paid for a Saler at Castle Douglas at the weekend, when Rob and Kath Livesay, Firth Farm, Lilliesleaf, sold Clueghhead Xerox to Graham and Colin McClymount, Newton Stewart.

livesey 8000gns.jpgAnd at 7200gns was another from the same vendors, Cleuchhead Xpert. He sold to A Jones, Talsarnaw.

Selling at 5800gns was Seamore Dandare from J and S Manners, Denholm. This one was sold to G W and M Richardson and Son, Denholm.

Taking the female championship and top female price was Rigel Alicia from Messrs Pye, Middleton on Leven, Yarm. She sold for 5000gns to the pre-sale show judge Patrick Boyd, Isle of Tiree.

cd salers fem champ.jpgAnd at 4000gns was Cuil Becky from Messrs McClymount. This sold to H G and S G Pritchard, Gwynedd.

Averages; 22 bulls 3730.80, eight heifers £2438.75 (Wallets Marts).
