Great standard of stock there – if rumours of sheep coming in next year are true then that should be good! Babies would have been tough to judge – really liked the champ baby but not keen on legs myself! Overall champ might not be the stylish heifer ever to grace a ring but that’s some loin on her – would love to see her hung up. Alford’s heifer has the whole package for me though – stunning!

Was at the show friday and Saturday, and thought it was great. Would be a good idea for next year, to have a weight limit on the babies, as some were up to about 470 kilos. Hardly babies, and would be out of class for Birmingham and the other winter shows.

Except for that i thought the show in its self was great. friday nights dinner was a bit poor, on the music side, and having to leave so early.

Thought Alfords heifer was streets ahead of anything else at the show. Liked the baby beef champion and reserve, both very classy. Agree babys should be restricted by weights as the other 1st prize winner was a “bullock” and not a sweet baby beef. Shame there was no atmosphere though.

Outstanding black blue bullock in reserve, real style and very correct looking and looks to be well put together

Agree impressed about the calf weights – 470 is a bit excessive for a baby. Not sure I agree on your comments about Friday night – Stuart Clatworthy had us in stitches and as for Phil Sellers stripping on a table dancing with Judy Fountaine what more do you want for a Friday night!!!!

Yes Stuart Clatworthy was a good laugh, and well I would rather not have seen those pair dancing on tables. Music would definately have been better
