The National Holstein Show will open up its doors to other breeds for the first time next year as Holstein UK stages the first ever National All Breeds Show at Stoneleigh.

Holstein UK chief Greg Ward says he hopes the show will attract entries from all the major breeds. "If people are going to come to a show they expect to see a whole breadth of what's on offer. There will be a national championship for each breed, an interbreed championship and a strong emphasis on health, welfare and productivity."

The show will also feature Total Performance Awards which will be offered in each off the senior cow classes to recognise production, longevity, calving interval and cell counts," he added.

The National All Breeds Show will take place on 16 and 17 February 2010, more information can be found here
