Royal Show coughs up prize money at last

| 2 Comments | No TrackBacks

Hopefully, any Royal Show exhibitors who have been waiting on prize money from this year's show received the same surprise in the post as I did yesterday - a cheque from RASE.

As I mentioned here some weeks ago payment has once again been delayed, because of RASE claim, administrative and staff difficulties (word has it their financial director left quickly and quietly)!

However, I would advise anyone who has received their chequee to take heed of the note at the top of the accompanying letter, it simply states "Please present this cheque immediately".

RASE has previously denied having any financial troubles and this might just be a prudent note to attach to the cheques, but one thing's for sure I'll be heading to town later to bank mine before it risks assuming some rubber-like qualities.

did you notice that the cheque was dated 24.8.09 and not a date in late oct or early nov

Must admit I didn't spot that and I've banked it now - perhaps that was the reason for the note to bank it ASAP!
