Last Saturday's sale of Belted Galloways at Worcester was led by the production sale from Jane Smith's Whitepool herd.

Topping the trade at 3000gns was Whitepool Living the Dream, a maiden heifer out of homebred cow Kinrea Triumph. She sold to J C Oliver, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Two then sold at 2750gns, the first being another maiden heifer Whitepool Leona. this one sold to C McMillans, Ochiltree, having enjoyed a successful show career this summer. The other to make this money was Barclosh Debbie, a cow which sold with her heifer calf at foot. Buying this one was M Williams, Rowlestone, Hereford.

And at 2650gns was in-calf cow Whitepool Christobel. This four year old cow sold to J Landers, Newton Stewart, Dumfries.

Making 2000gns was one from Michael Arbib's Howiemill consignment. This was Howiemill Dancing Violet, a maiden heifer  which sold to Messrs Powell, Stanford Bridge, Worcester.

Averages; 13 in-calf cows £1269.69, three cows with calves £2373, 13 maiden heifers £1656.57 (McCartneys).
