British Blue takes Clitheroe Christmas title

A British Blue heifer from the Walker family, Dunsop Bridge, took the championship at Clitheroe's Christmas show and sale of prime cattle.

This one weighed in at 460kgs and sold at 340p/kg to Alan Beecroft of Country Style Meats, Clitheroe.

clitheroe Cattle Champion1209.jpgReserve champion was awarded to T W Pickard and Son, Great Harwood, with another British Blue heifer which weighed 426kgs and sold at 219p/kg to the same buyer as the champion.

Don't know about a red halter and a rosette - think these guys need to learn what foot trimming is - absolute disgrace to even attempt to bring anything out with feet like that and call it a show beast...........poor thing looks crippled!

well spotted jesus i never saw such a young animal wit hoofs lik dat u mite see it in an old cow but definitely not in a young show animal lik dat as you said disgrace.
