Carlisle in lamb Texels to 20,000gns

Because I'm busy at Smithfield I'm afraid I can't be in Carlisle today for the in-lamb Texel sale, but word has reached of what I beleive could be a new record, a 20,000gns bid for the first ewe in the ring from Jimmy Douglas.

This one was DJV 08129, a Clola Marksman daughter out of a 19,000gns dam from Glenside by Turin Fantastic. This one, in lamb to world record price holder Deveronvale Perfection sold to Malcolm Reid,

For the stattos among you I reckon that makes it 84,000gns Malcolm has spent on pedigree stock in the space of three weeks, some going!
