Following its management buyout from Elphinstone Land three years ago, Stirling-based United Auctions has secured the future of three further sites in its portfolio by purchasing them from former owners Elphinstone Land.

The sites involved are Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Lairg, Sutherland, and Oban, on the west coast. Huntly has recently benefitted from a £350,000 investmenr, including an upgrade to building and the all important Mart cafe, while at Oban the office and Lairage are a vital facility helping manage the movement of stock from the western isles to sale at Dalmally mart, which itself was subject to a £250,000 upgrade last year.

And finally, Lairg host just three sales a year, but is also being considered for a possible upgrade to its facilities to ensure it continues to serve the local community in the north of Scotland.
