Prime Cheviots at yesterday's sale of Cheviot and Blackface hoggs at Carlisle sold to a top of £95.50 for the show champions, a pen of North Country Cheviots from Messrs J Maxwell and Son, Halket Leathes. These were bought by R Skelton.
Reserve champion went to Messrs J Carruthers and Son, Woodhall, with a pen of South Country Cheviots which made £88.50 to Vion Foods.
Top place in the Blackface class went to R J S and D M Addison, Greystone House.
