Stirk sets new record at Sedgemoor

Greenslade Taylor Hunt got in on the record breaking action at Sedgemoor on Saturday selling an 11month old British blue stirk for £1000, £200 above the martt record for stirks. This one, from Phillip White and Julie Turner of Newpole British Blues, was bought by Ray Spiller, Trull, Taunton for future primestock showing.

Meanwhile in the monthly suckler cow auction the dispersal of W G Wrixton and Son's herd saw £4300 paid for a Ruby Red Devon bull. This one sold to t and E Lang, Bideford.
