Pig judging has been completed here at Balmoral with the interbreed championship going to the Landrace champion, a junior boar, Cappagh Nekton 820, from Agnes and Robin Todd, reserve interbreed was the Large White champion, a junior gilt, Houri 114, from Leslie Bradley.
Reserve in the Large White’s was a junior boar, Cappagh Field Marshall, from the Todd family, while the Landrace reserve was junior gilt Cappagh Grafelia 828, also from the Todds.
In the traditional breeds the champion was Kenneth Gracey with a junior boar Forthill Raham, with Ernest Gregg reserve with a sow Grennan Woodlands Lady.
In the Pork pigs the championship went to Trevor Shields with a heavyweight gilt and reserve was Kenneth Gracey with a lightweight gilt.
