Bentham rams sell to £2600

Leading the trade at Bentham Market's sale of rams on Saturday was a Beltex shearling from Dan Towers which sold at £2600 to Frankland Farms, Settle. This one was a first prize winner from the pre-sale show and is by Woodies Luke and out of a dam by Contane Hadden. A full brother to this one stood third in the show and sold at £1000 to David Cornthwaite, Lockerbie.Bentham Towers Beltex.jpgSuffolks sold to a top of £860 for Mark Evans, Skipton, Texels peaked at £1000 for J T and J K Kelsall, Ingleton and Charollais sold to a high of £620 for D Whitcher, Whenby. (Richard Turner and Son).
