Bellas take strong bids at Haresfoot dispersal

A pair of Bellas have helped keep the average up at the Haresfoot dispersal with a mother and daughter combo selling at 5500gns and 9000gns.

First to go was one of the herd’s great show cows Haresfoot Bella 6, a February 2000-born daughter of Horizon Ranger Red out of Haresfoot Bella, a Bankend Lord Ontario daughter.

This one is an eighth lactaction cow with siz 10,000kg+lactations and was breed champion at the Royal in 2003, breed champion and interbreed production champion at the Royal in 2004, reserve supreme interbreed and exhibitor bred champion interbreed at the Royal Welsh 2005 and interbreed champion at the Dairy Event in 2006. She is also dam of bulls Haresfoot Brazen and Blaze.

Her daughter Haresfoot Maple Bella, a November 2010-born Remington Maple daughter then sold at the day’s best so far of 9000gns.
