Perth bull sales 2011: Beef Shorthorn money makers

The Beef Shorthorn males topped at 6,500gns with a call for Cougar of Upsall (Lot 89) from the Hon G Turton. This one is by Bilsdale Anson and out of Ury Maid and had been placed second at the Stirling Calf Sale in December 2010. He sold to the Greens, Corksie, Fochabers, Moray-shire.

Craigfaddock Capello from Mr D Alexander, 23 Springmount road, Clough, Ballymenta, was then sold at 5,000gns (Lot 88) to Kincraigie Farms, Kincraigie, Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire. This Chapelton Wildfire daughter is out of Craigfaddock Lady Annetta 2nd and has a TSI of +17 and a SRI of +12.

Then at 4,800gns was Willingham Denebola (Lot 93) from Mr A Haigh. By Dunsyre North Star and out of Dunsyre Irene this one has a SRI of +31 and TSI of +33. This one headed to the Maclennans, Balliefurth, Morayshire.

Next best was the male champion, Uppermill Beckham (Lot 90) from Mr J Porter, 1 Causeway Court, Ballinderry Road, when he sold for 4,000gns to Murza Farm, Bower, Caithness.

Uppermill Beckham’s  sister, Blythesome Jema was female champion at Glenarm 2010. This one is by Uppermill Jinks and out of Uppersmill Slim Sothwell.
