Hallfield Forger from Co Durham breeders Peter Weightman and Sons topped the trade at the British Blonde Society's show and sale at Carlisle at 6200gns.

He's another son of the Druk Genesis sired Blackwater Ainsley who has notched up some high priced progeny for the Weightmans. Forger is out of a Megray Senator dam and has a Beef Value of 40. He stood champion on the day under judge Philip Rogers who runs the Ffin herd at Presteigne, Powys.

(Harrison and Hetherington).
