Mr McAufield from Co Antrim invested 8000gns in D W and C E Jones’ Wiltor Atwood Sharon – a high genomic type six-month heifer (3.63 PTAT) and from the Shottle family. Her dam is the Sandy Valley Bolton cow Washfold Bolton Sharon 2nd that cost 10,500gns at the 2010 Black and White sale.
The Henry family from Co Down added the November 2011-bred Wiltor Observer Shelley to their Horizon herd at 7000gns. She is also out of the Washfold cow.
