November 2010 Ironstone Floribunda is homebred – sired by Wilodge Vantastic and out of Kendrom Betty.  Today’s win is only her second outing, having previously had success at the Kenilworth Show.  She will now go on to the Norfolk, Yorkshire and Royal Welsh shows.
Standing in reserve was an Aberdeen Angus heifer – Haughton Laura – from Whittaker & Co Farms, Stickle Heaton Farm, Northumberland.
Homebred, this one is by Rawburn Elysium and out of Lockerley Laura – she was previously crowned champion at the Northumberland Show and will now be shown at the Yorkshire Show in July.
Judge Bruce Goldie, Dumfries, said of his champion:  “I thought she was outstanding – a clear winner – and very smart in the parade.”
