Royal Highland Show 2012: Use public transport, say organisers
Due to an unprecedented amount of rainfall affecting carparking, visitors to this year’s Royal Highland Show tomorrow and Sunday are being urged to use public transport where possible.
Speaking at the end of day two of the show today, show organiser David Dunsmuir said the quickest way to get to the show would be public transport.
However, for those bringing cars, he said extra car parking would be available at Edinburgh Airport and the Royal Bank of Scotland headquarters at Gogarburn – buses will then take people to the showground. In addition, he said tractors were on hand to tow any vehicles stuck in the carparks.
