Dyfri heifer sells at 10,000gns

  

Dyfri Fioled, an in-calf heifer by Wilodge Cerberus, topped a production sale from the Edwards family’s Dyfri Limousin herd when she sold for 10,000gns.

 

The heifer was in-calf to Ironstone Brandy and was bought by Scottish breeder Walter White, Melrose.

 

A good crowd at the Llandovery Market sale venue took bidding to 6000gns for the 2009-bred cow Dyfri Esther, a daughter of the Nectar son Dyfri Adam. She had a Cerberus heifer calf at foot and was in-calf to him again. Buyers were Avon Finch Ltd, Market Drayton.

  

T Jenkins and Son, Llantrisant gave 5200gns for the 2005-bred cow Dyfri Aisa, a Senateur daughter suckling a heifer calf by Milbrook Dakota. She was in-calf to the Ironstone sire.

 

Averages: Two cows and bull calves ÂŁ2992; nine cows and heifer calves ÂŁ3558; one unserved heifer ÂŁ3150; two in-calf cows ÂŁ2100 and 21 in-calf heifers ÂŁ2910. “A” lots – one bull calf ÂŁ2520 and three heifer calves ÂŁ2345.
