Bred by Alastair Gault, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland, she was purchased by Will Davis, Usk, Monmouthshire, for his newly established Uskvale Texel flock.

The gimmer, sired by Knock Travis, is out of a Douganhill McFly daughter. Its dam is a full sister to the 28,000gns Forkins Nijinsky.

She is the first foundation female to join to the new pedigree flock, which is a new business venture for the well-established farm business Uskvale poultry.

Commenting on the purchase Mr Davis said: “I selected the ewe because she comes from by far the most consistent family in the Forkins flock and surpasses anything else I have seen this year.”

She will stay at the Forkins flock to be flushed in September and will then head to Monmouthshire where she will be flushed again before being put in lamb.
