When I was a child of around 8 years old I saw a toad in a ditch in the country that was about the same size of the one that is being held. I live in Northern Ontario Canada and until this picture I have never seen one as big since that day as a child.
when i was about 10 in 1990 i seen a toad that was that big i wanted to catch it but i couldnt it jumped into a colvert it was in central alberta near a small town of rimbey about 120 kilom out into the bush where my grampa bulit his cabin retriet
I love toads and i honestly think that the toad in the picture is adorable!!! i live in the country and i LOVE all types of animals but i think toads and frogs are my favorite!
Ive only got 4 months left to go, before my first baby boy arrives. Im starting to get nesting instincts start.
Wowwwww!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable. First time I saw a big size toads (amphibians).....
Stephanie, I think if you lived in an area over-run by cane toads, you might change your mind. They were introduced deliberately in Australia, where they had no natural predators to control beetles, they soon became far worse pests themselves as their highly toxic skin poisons indigenous snakes and lizards, resulting in an increase in crocodiles. The toads did not, however, eliminate the beetles in the cane fields, but have spread out over much of northeastern Australia.
