You've got to admire their nerve.
Six guys are preparing to do a Full Monty-style strip in a village hall in Cumbria to raise money for charity.
Tickets for the event, which takes place in Roadhead on June 16 and is in aid of Brampton Cottage Hospital, went on sale at the weekend.
They sold out within 19 minutes, prompting one of the participants Steve Pattison to tell Field Day: "We are officially more popular than Barbara Striesand!"
The half dozen brave (some might say foolhardy!) guys are already rehearsing for the event - the Ball Baring, they've named it - snatching odd moments in their busy timetables.
"We are all lambing and calving, then it will run into silaging, but we will do our best," says Steve.
Along with Steve who's a dairy farmer, the performers will be Paul Stobbart and Ian Bell (both beef and sheep farmers), Colin Dodd and Nigel Little (both farmers' sons) and farmer's son and pub landlord Chris Hogg.
Also in a bid to raise charity cash, Steve was involved in the 'Farmers Bike Ride' last weekend -supporting the Children's Cancer Fund inspired by Joe Wilson, a local lad who has just survived his second brain tumour.
The cyclists look set to raise as much as last year when they gave £8000 to the Air Ambulance.
The day went well, with about 200 farmers, their families and friends taking part, according to Steve. "The weather held up and no one fell off and hurt themselves, one lady did fall off though and landed in a bunch of nettles!"
Early indications, adds Steve, suggest that Andrea Nicholson's backside will be OK once the swelling goes down! The intrepid cyclists covered 12 miles, five pubs and one first aid kit.
Keep an eye out on Field Day, meanwhile, for more news of the Ball Baring as June 16 approaches.
We'll be covering the preparations. Or should that be uncovering the preparations...

But will they be prepared to show their bullocks?
This was a great community builder, and in a region that is still reeling from the after affects of FMD we need all we can get. It is a model that should be borrowed for all rural communities. The main part of this model being that we had a group of farmers at the centre, this shows others that we are still a strong group, we can do things and we can create a following when we put our minds to it. It's also a damn good day.
If others are thinking of trying this elsewhere we will help if we get an invite and a free pint!
think people would comment more if they didn't need a typekey identity...
kis
wish I had heard about it sooner I would have definitely bought a ticket to see the ball baring
they are all keen enough to brag about their heifer's bags so I am sure they will show their bullocks
chris
Go boys go
Pity the poor beauty therapists who've volunteered to wax and oil these guys, before the big charity event!!!
